Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team at Island Hospitality. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain hotel systems and equipment, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
  • Identify and report potential safety hazards and notify supervisors of any damages, deficits, or disturbances.
  • Complete preventative maintenance programs and check stocking levels of consumables.
  • Work with the Chief Engineer and Management team to identify and accomplish technical and skilled-related projects.
  • Prepare reports for the management team and respond to emergency situations as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred.
  • Ability to work well in stressful situations and handle problems in the workplace.
  • Strong initiative and desire for achievement, with a focus on providing excellent guest service.
  • Ability to work a variable schedule based on guest occupancy, season, and other factors.
