The Maintenance Technician is a key member of the Legendary team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. This role involves conducting general maintenance and repairs on equipment and property structures, with a focus on maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond quickly to work orders and emergencies, notifying relevant personnel and following safety protocols.
- Conduct routine maintenance of electrical systems, surveying buildings to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot equipment and perform routine lubrication as needed, advising dispatch and/or supervisors of required parts and supplies.
- Support the setup and repair of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems, maintaining heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
- Inspect alarm systems, such as carbon dioxide and fire protection, and schedule repairs as necessary.
- Perform manual repairs, including fixing locks and repairing bathroom fixtures, and maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and facility.
Requirements:
- 1 year of maintenance technician/mechanical experience, with a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Forklift experience/operator certificate preferred.
- Solid knowledge of OSHA compliant workplace safety practices.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with guests and coworkers in a harmonious manner.
- Ability to handle multiple operational demands with a high degree of professionalism, operating often with time-sensitive deadlines.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple and/or complex correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests and/or coworkers.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other Qualifications:
- Availability to work seven days a week, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver's license with at least three years of experience, with no major violations and no more than two minor violations in the past three years.
Language Skills:
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds upon occasion.
Work Environment:
- Work environment requires the ability to work both inside and outside, including cold refrigerated areas and inclement weather.
