Position Overview:

Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager/Supervisor, the Registered Nurse is responsible for planning, administering, and assisting in all activities within a sub-acute nursing unit, ensuring alignment with The New Jewish Home's mission, vision, and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in monitoring and reporting on the quality of life and care concerns of residents/clients.
  • Contribute to the assessment processes for residents/clients.
  • Assist in managing the Environmental of Care, focusing on the safety of residents/clients and staff.
  • Participate in the surveillance, prevention, and control of infections by adhering to and ensuring compliance with infection control policies and procedures.
  • Execute other related responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Essential Qualifications:
  • Must hold a current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care is preferred.
  • BCLS certification is required; IV Therapy certification is preferred.
  • Shift: 7am - 3pm, with a requirement for every other weekend and holiday rotation.
Incentive: SIGN ON BONUS of $5,000, pro-rated for part-time positions.
