Job Summary

The New Jewish Home is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nursing Specialist. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall mission of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality of Life and Care: Participate in monitoring and reporting on the quality of life and care issues of residents/clients.
  • Assessment and Management: Participate in the assessment of residents/clients and contribute to the management of the Environmental of Care to ensure the safety of residents/clients and staff.
  • Infection Control: Participate in the surveillance, prevention, and control of infection by adhering to and ensuring compliance of staff with infection control policies and procedures.
  • Administrative Duties: Perform other related duties as directed by the Nurse Manager/Supervisor.
Requirements
  • Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years acute care experience preferred.
  • BCLS required and IV Therapy certification preferred.
  • Shift: 7am - 3pm, every other weekend and holiday rotation required.
