Hospice Care Overview
**Job Summary:**
Capital Caring Health is seeking a skilled Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to patients and families in the Washington DC area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospice and palliative care, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
**Responsibilities:**
* Provide quality nursing care to patients and families through the nursing process, patient and family education, and documentation as needed
* Supervise LPNs, CNAs, and Volunteers as applicable
* Rotate to other regions/departments as needed
* Collaborate with the IDT team to ensure patient care plans and wishes are followed
* Manage symptoms and provide treatment as needed
**Requirements:**
* One year of staff nurse experience in a comparable setting/unit
* Hospice and/or palliative care experience is strongly preferred
* Licensure from the governing body for practice for the District of Columbia, State of Maryland, and/or the Commonwealth of Virginia
* Healthcare Provider BLS (CPR) certification
* Driver's license in good standing and access to a vehicle during working hours
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* CHPN certification
