Amergis Locum Tenens is seeking a skilled Hospice and Palliative Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Washington DC.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work with a reputable healthcare organization, providing high-quality care to patients in need of hospice and palliative services.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive care to patients with serious illnesses, focusing on pain and symptom management, and improving quality of life.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and manage patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Practitioner studies.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Washington DC.
- Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
- Experience working in hospice and palliative care settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
