About the Role:

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler System Specialist to join our team in Austin, TX. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems in commercial and residential buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire sprinkler systems to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on fire sprinkler systems, including installing new equipment and upgrading existing systems
  • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner to ensure their needs are met
  • Install or upgrade fire sprinklers in commercial and residential buildings to meet local building codes and regulations
  • Test and repair alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Perform inspections to ensure alarms are installed according to code
  • Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues and reporting results of work completed in a timely manner
  • Protect and maintain company equipment, including vehicles and warehouse equipment
  • Respond to emergency service calls to ensure prompt and effective response to customer needs
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve company goals

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience with fire sprinkler systems, preferably in a commercial or residential setting
  • Experience with troubleshooting and repairing fire sprinkler systems
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation to/from the office or job site
  • Must be flexible with scheduling requirements, including evening, weekend, and out-of-town assignments
  • Requires the ability to display knowledge of principles and practices of fire safety
  • Requires the ability to display knowledge of codes and regulations related to the work
  • Requires the ability to maintain accurate records and reports
  • Requires the ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
