We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at Family Services Inc. as a Mental Health Specialist. As a key member of our Behavioral Health team, you will play a vital role in providing psychiatric care to clients receiving services through our community behavioral health program.
Key Responsibilities- Render psychiatric and neurological diagnostic services for clients, utilizing the contributions of mental health professionals.
- Participate in the intake and screening process of patients.
- Provide medication management and ensure continuity of service.
- Provide referral information to alternate placement facilities and review intake and treatment plans.
- Participate in in-service training and information-educational community activities to further community knowledge in the detection and prevention of psychiatric disorders.
- Act as a resource person for other staff in the areas of medicine, psychiatry, and neurology.
- Possession of a license to practice medicine issued by the New York State Department of Education.
- Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
- Ability to supervise and instruct staff members, develop good community relations, and write clear and concise reports.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating patient condition and making decisions on an appropriate course of treatment.
- Ability to relate sympathetically to a potentially difficult client population.

What We Offer- Competitive salary range of $250,000 - $290,000 annually based on experience.
- Sign-on bonus available.
- Full-time, hybrid position with a 40-hour workweek.
- Reports to the Medical Director and Associate Medical Director.
- Generous benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 403(b) retirement plan, and paid time off.
