The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in coordinating healthcare services for employees in the onsite clinic. This position involves overseeing the evaluation and case management of workplace injuries, ensuring compliance with medical surveillance programs, and providing education on workplace safety and injury prevention.
Key Responsibilities- Treats acute occupational injuries and performs various medical tests, including drug tests, hearing tests, and pulmonary function tests.
- Responds to medical emergencies and initiates health and wellness screenings for employees.
- Manages cases of workman's compensation claims and facilitates return-to-work and light-duty assignments for employees with work-related injuries.
- Maintains a current case log for workplace injuries and ensures compliance with OSHA and DOT programs.
- Valid state license and 3+ years of nursing experience, with 2+ years of occupational health experience preferred.
- Certification in Occupational Hearing Conservationist and Certified in CPR/AED/First Aid are also preferred.
- Strong administrative and management skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to generate reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and training courses.
