UofL Physicians is seeking an exceptional Lead Cardiac Surgeon to join our esteemed academic team in Louisville, Kentucky. This dynamic role involves collaborating with residents and students while conducting impactful research commensurate with academic rank.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in performing the full spectrum of adult cardiac surgery and be committed to delivering outstanding clinical care, teaching, and research activities. Our state-of-the-art University of Louisville Heart Hospital performs over 1000 cases annually, providing a unique opportunity for growth and development.
To excel in this position, the successful candidate must hold board certification or eligibility and be licensed to practice medicine in Kentucky. We value candidates who embody excellence, professionalism, and a passion for education and research.
The Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery comprises five divisions: Pediatric Cardiac Surgery, General Thoracic Surgery, Adult Cardiac Surgery, Cardiovascular Critical Care, and Cardiovascular Research. Our three-year ACGME cardiac training program fosters a rich environment for learning and mentorship.
