Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Johns Hopkins Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic exams using ultrasound equipment in the Departments of Maternal Fetal Medicine and Labor and Delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all ultrasound procedures according to department procedures and established protocols.
  • Conduct fetal exams, including 1st trimester ultrasound exams, nuchal translucency measurements, 2nd trimester detailed anatomic surveys, 3rd trimester ultrasound exams, full and limited fetal echocardiography, maternal and fetal Doppler studies, and biophysical profiles.
  • Assist perinatologists in performing invasive procedures.
  • Perform portable examinations requiring movement of ultrasound equipment to various locations.
  • Monitor and observe any abnormal changes in patients' color, respiration, heart rate, and responsiveness.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an approved curriculum in diagnostic ultrasound.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Registration (or Registry-eligible) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in OB/GYN.
  • Current CPR Certification required.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, day shift, with no weekends. Sibley Memorial Hospital is a smoke-free work environment.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $31.67 per hour - $52.23 per hour, commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
