We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Facility Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our infrastructure services team, you will be responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of our data centers, ensuring high availability and reliability of our critical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of data center operations, including electrical and mechanical systems, to ensure high-quality performance and minimal downtime.
  • Manage teams of engineering technicians, providing guidance, training, and coaching to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Engage in improvement projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure adherence to contracted service level agreements (SLAs) and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Effectively manage the operations budget, monitoring and controlling expenditures to ensure optimal resource allocation.

You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience working in data centers with an emphasis on electrical and mechanical systems operation.
  • Excellent understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, and other critical infrastructure components.
  • Proven track record of people management and team development.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.
  • Ability to maintain SLAs through proactive issue detection and reporting.
