About The Role:

The Segal Group, Inc is seeking a skilled Consulting Actuary to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting our public sector retirement benefits consulting business in the West Region.

Job Summary:

This Actuarial Consultant position involves managing client relationships, developing new business opportunities, and delivering high-quality services to our clients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for understanding client needs, providing strategic expertise, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve outstanding results.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their issues, and anticipate their needs to provide innovative solutions.
  • New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the public sector market, leveraging your knowledge and skills to drive growth and revenue.
  • Service Delivery: Work closely with clients to deliver high-quality services, applying complex actuarial concepts and methods to address their needs.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other professionals to build and maintain effective client relationships, share knowledge, and contribute to the success of the team.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 9 years of experience in employee benefits consulting or a related field, with exposure to retirement plan strategies and concepts in the public sector environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Credentials: ASA accreditation (FSA preferred).
  • Skillset: Strong business acumen, leadership ability, relationship-building skills, communication skills, and analytical abilities.

What We Offer:

The Segal Group, Inc offers a comprehensive compensation package that includes a competitive salary range of $124,500 - $180,000 per year, plus an opportunity for discretionary performance bonuses based on company profitability and individual performance.
