Position Summary:

The Retail Operations Supervisor will oversee all facets of operational effectiveness, ensuring a premium in-store experience that enables customers to embrace outdoor adventures. This role involves close collaboration with the Store Manager to enhance store performance across various metrics, including financial outcomes, team engagement, customer satisfaction, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in reaching and surpassing sales objectives, focusing on both revenue and profitability.
  • Evaluate and respond proactively to inventory management, maintaining precise metrics such as stock levels, turnover rates, and inventory flow.
  • Adhere to loss prevention protocols to minimize unnecessary losses, including conducting regular inventory counts and incident reporting.
  • Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of inventory and cash handling procedures within the store.
  • Manage payroll and scheduling to optimize store coverage, enhancing operational efficiency and customer service.
  • Process incoming and outgoing merchandise requests and shipments on a daily basis.
  • Monitor discretionary spending, including supply costs and operational expenses.
  • Utilize in-store operational systems (such as Point of Sale, Workday, Power BI) effectively.
  • Execute all operational tasks in accordance with company policies and ensure compliance among team members.
  • Regularly review internal communications to ensure timely dissemination of information to the team.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience through operational excellence, including effective stockroom management and cash wrap operations.
  • Train team members on standard operating procedures (SOPs) and their impact on business performance.
  • Encourage and empower team members to foster brand loyalty and enhance employee engagement.
  • Mentor team members to uphold Canada Goose's standards of quality and authenticity while promoting cross-functional teamwork.
  • Identify and nurture future leaders while scouting external talent for the retail sector.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in retail management.
  • Experience with luxury brands in high-traffic retail environments.
  • Proficiency in inventory, payroll, and expense management.
  • A proven track record of maintaining operational excellence while driving retail performance.
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of retail metrics.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment.
  • A keen business acumen and attention to detail.
  • A commitment to embodying Canada Goose's values, including innovation, authenticity, passion, and entrepreneurship.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Additional language skills are a plus.
