As a Regional Operations Manager at Alff Construction LLC, you will oversee the financial and operational aspects of your designated area. This role involves supervising Territory Vendor Managers, Field Operations Managers, and local office personnel. You will be responsible for managing the regional budget and expenditures in collaboration with the Area Director of Operations and corporate leadership. Building and maintaining customer relationships within your region is essential. Regular site visits will be required to ensure quality standards are met and to address any client concerns.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of property maintenance, stay updated on industry trends, and demonstrate effective leadership and communication skills. This position reports directly to the Area Director of Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the regional budget.
- Coordinate regularly with client representatives at a peer level.
- Communicate across the company to establish local policies that align with company standards and regional needs.
- Resolve conflicts internally and with clients while adhering to company policies.
- Analyze regional budget trends and performance to implement improvements focused on profitability and efficiency.
- Coordinate staffing with the corporate office to ensure compliance with employment regulations.
- Ensure compliance with reporting processes and data accuracy.
- Oversee staff training in accordance with company policies.
- Conduct performance reviews and set goals for direct reports.
- Manage the fleet of vehicles and equipment for the region.
- Oversee regional facilities and administrative staff.
- Enhance customer relationships to boost sales and satisfaction.
- Supervise the sales, scheduling, completion, and invoicing of regional projects.
- Provide insights to the executive team regarding operational efficiency and safety.
- Identify and develop new client opportunities within the region.
- Review and approve high-value proposals and quotes.
- Overnight travel may be required.
- Maintain safety standards as established by Executive Leadership.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 7 years in a management role within a related field, such as Project Management.
Technical Skills: Proficient in navigating new database programs, communication platforms, and Microsoft Suite, along with moderate experience in Salesforce, Samsara, and ADP.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of experience in a management role within the construction or maintenance industry.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
