Job Title: Mental Health Professional

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Professional to join our team. As a key member of our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team, you will provide evidence-based services to individuals with serious mental illnesses, promoting their recovery and well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct services to ACT patients, guiding them in developing skills and strategies to achieve and maintain good mental health.
  • Engage beneficiaries in service using assertive engagement techniques.
  • Assist patients with accessing community services, resources, and agencies, and establishing support networks in the community.
  • Utilize the patient's natural supports and complete screenings and assessments for referrals.
  • Develop and revise instructional continuity plans (ICPs) and provide family psychoeducation and support.
  • Lead the person-centered planning process for patients of the ACT program.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, treatment team meetings, and pursue professional development.
  • Effectively utilize and maintain certification of evidence-based practices.
  • Attend treatment team meetings daily and provide consultation regarding complex cases as appropriate.
  • Complete documentation according to QA/SCDMH standards and comply with Corporate Compliance Policy and Risk Management Plan.
  • Ensure timely completion of prior authorizations and complete all annual required trainings.
  • Demonstrate adherence to CARF standards, SCDMH, and Center policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Masters' degree in guidance, counseling, or the social sciences or a related field.
  • Licensed as an LISW-CP, LMFT, or LPC in the state of S.C.
  • Master's or doctoral degree from a program that is primarily psychological in nature from an accredited university.
  • One year of experience working with adults with serious mental illnesses.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Practical therapeutic knowledge of principles, methods, and counseling practices and procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of behavioral and mental disorders.
  • Ability to listen and understand and communicate information and ideas so that others will understand.
  • Knowledge of psychopathology, family dynamics, family, and group psychotherapy.
  • Ability to identify and effectively utilize resources available in the community to accomplish objectives.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals, families, and representatives of other professional disciplines.
  • Ability to present clear and comprehensive oral and written reports.
