About the Role:

Mental Health Technicians at Universal Health Services provide direct patient care and support to individuals with mental health needs. This role involves performing various non-nursing functions, such as data collection and documentation, while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and document patient data accurately and promptly
  • Recognize and report variances in patient condition
  • Follow the plan of care and recommend changes as needed
  • Provide care that meets the individual needs of patients
  • Participate in shift report and complete all work assignments under the supervision of a licensed nurse

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Prefer one year of full-time or three years of part-time experience in an acute care setting
  • BLS certification and successful completion of Handle with Care training within 30 days of hire
  • Valid SC driver's license for patient transport, where applicable
