Mental Health Technician

About the Role:
Mental Health Technicians at Universal Health Services provide direct patient care and support to individuals with mental health needs. This role involves performing various non-nursing functions, such as data collection and documentation, while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and document patient data accurately and promptly
- Recognize and report variances in patient condition
- Follow the plan of care and recommend changes as needed
- Provide care that meets the individual needs of patients
- Participate in shift report and complete all work assignments under the supervision of a licensed nurse
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Prefer one year of full-time or three years of part-time experience in an acute care setting
- BLS certification and successful completion of Handle with Care training within 30 days of hire
- Valid SC driver's license for patient transport, where applicable
