Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse - First Assistant to join our team at Mercy Hospital Washington. As a key member of our Operating Room team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety.
  • Maintain professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients, evaluating the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
  • Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information, adhering to our hospital's strict confidentiality policies.
  • Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our hospital's mission, values, and guiding principles.

Requirements:

  • Licensure: Must have either a current RN Temporary Permit/RN license in the State of Missouri.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years intraoperative experience with documentation of proficiency in perioperative nursing practice as a scrub and circulating nurse.
  • Certifications: CNOR and RN-First Assistant class required within one year of hire/transfer. BLS/ACLS required within first year.
  • Preferred Education: BSN Preferred
  • Experience: Three (3) or more years intraoperative experience
  • Preferred Certifications: CNOR, CRNFA
