Nursery Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our team at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care to newborns and their families in a supportive and welcoming environment.
About the RoleThis is a PRN, night shift position that requires a minimum commitment of 4 shifts within a 6-week schedule, including 1 major and 1 minor holiday per year. As a Nursery Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based care to newborns and their families, while also collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to newborns and their families, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and provide comprehensive care to newborns and their families.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices in neonatal care.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by promoting a culture of excellence, respect, and teamwork.
To be considered for this role, you must have 2 years of recent nursery or NICU experience and be able to float to postpartum for couplet care when needed. You must also be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
