Surgical Nurse Specialist for Major Cases

Job Summary:
We're seeking an experienced and skilled Surgical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Richmond University Medical Center. In this role, you'll work collaboratively with our surgical teams to ensure seamless patient care during major surgical cases. Your expertise and dedication will be instrumental in achieving optimal patient outcomes.
About the Role:
This is a per diem opportunity with various shifts available. You'll be working on assignments across multiple units, including general surgery, OB/GYN, orthopedics, vascular, thoracic, robotic, ENT, Urology, and Podiatry. Your ability to scrub and circulate will be essential in providing top-notch care to our patients.
Requirements:
- Current registration in New York State as an RN
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- BSN required
- Current BLS certification required
- 2 - 3 years' experience in both scrubbing and circulating in major surgical cases
- Previous OR experience required
- Excellent organization, communication, computer, and interpersonal skills are needed
- Able to push, pull, and lift 25 pounds
Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is $58.718, offering a competitive compensation package that reflects your valuable skills and experience.
