Eye Care Specialist for Retina Services

We seek a highly skilled physician trained in ophthalmology, with expertise in medical and/or surgical retina care, to deliver exceptional patient experiences. The ideal candidate is an experienced retina specialist or fellow, dedicated to providing high-quality diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care.

Responsibilities include reviewing patient medical history, conducting thorough retinal examinations, evaluating and treating various retinal conditions, and performing office-based procedures. A strong understanding of population health management and value-based care is essential for success in this role.

To be considered, candidates must possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, completion of a U.S. accredited residency program in ophthalmology, and completion of a medical or medical-surgical retina fellowship. Additional requirements include board eligibility/certification in ophthalmology, a current, unrestricted New York State license, and active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration and Medicare/Medicaid enrollment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfort with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office
