Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Valve Assembly Technician to join our team at CIRCOR. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the assembly and disassembly of new valves and the repair of existing ones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly and disassembly of new valves and repairing valves to ensure they meet our quality and operational standards.
  • Conduct tests on valves to confirm they meet the required standards and prepare reports for any return material authorizations.
  • Provide guidance and instructions to individually make the repairs necessary to correct operational problems.
  • Provide accurate estimates of labor and materials to repair product so quotes can be generated.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude and intermediate knowledge of various hand tools.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform multi-faceted projects in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and strategic skills.
  • High pressure testing and steam testing knowledge.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years' experience in assembly and disassembly.
  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense issued Confidential Security Clearance or possess a Security Clearance within the past 24 months.
  • Nuclear Navy Machinist Mate experience is ideal.

  • US Citizen.
