Job Summary

The Food and Beverage Supervisor is responsible for the daily supervision of the food and beverage operation at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Sioux City. This includes the casino and restaurant bars, service bars, and cocktail service to ensure exceptional guest service and the achievement of guest service goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hiring and Training: Hire, train, and motivate team members to provide exceptional guest service and achieve guest service goals.
  • Scheduling and Staffing: Monitor daily scheduling process to ensure appropriate staffing levels to maintain guest service levels and profit goals.
  • Training and Development: Provide training to team members regarding responsible alcohol service and tobacco sales, as well as providing exceptional guest service.
  • Food Safety and Handling: Train team members in proper food handling techniques and food safety procedures.
  • Performance Evaluation: Evaluate performance of team members and provide coaching and feedback to ensure performance and guest standards are being met.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain company funds and equipment in an orderly manner.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Review and comprehend all necessary documentation and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Special Events: Advise organization in beverage-related issues, such as the planning of special events, to provide the expertise needed for successful implementation of plans.
  • Appearance and Conduct: Maintain a well-groomed, neat, and clean appearance.
Working Conditions and Essential Functions
  • Working Environment: Operate in a working environment that is subject to varying levels of crowds, noise, and smoke, the severity of which depends on guest volume.
  • Physical Demands: Stand throughout an eight-hour shift.
  • Observation and Direction: Observe and direct actions of subordinates.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with all levels of team members as well as guests.
Job Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the gaming industry and strong public relations skills. Experience with beverage operations in a multi-venue or casino environment is required, with at least three years in a supervisory capacity preferred. A high school degree or equivalent is required, with business-related college courses preferred.
