Vendor Master Data Management Manager

The Manager II – Vendor Master Data Management (VMDM) & Product Master Data Management (PMDM) will oversee the VMDM/PMDM support team within the VMO, developing and maintaining positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendor partners. This role requires in-depth knowledge of vendor and product master data processes, services, and systems, as well as team performance and workflow management.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the implementation of changes across people and processes to optimize VMDM/PMDM performance and service delivery.
- Engage teams across the Procure-to-Pay ecosystem to ensure effective vendor and item set-up and maintenance activities.
- Maintain strict controls over vendor information and support system integrations.
- Partner with IT and Commercial Systems & Analytics to test and implement enhancements to vendor and item data management tools and systems.
- Monitor performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate vendor data accuracy and completeness.
- Drive opportunities to optimize vendor and item set-up and vendor data management processes without compromising quality or service levels.
- Partner with ADUSA Communications and Commercial Systems & Analytics to drive stakeholder communication and training activities related to vendor master data.
- Lead, motivate, and develop staff to maximize individual contribution, professional growth, and team performance.
- Responsible for the effective intake, analysis, and resolution of item and vendor set-up and maintenance activities.
- Work with vendor contacts and company personnel to resolve outstanding item and vendor set-up and maintenance issues.
- Promote an effective team environment through mentoring, coaching, and development skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of related experience in consulting, industry, or related experience, including vendor management, supplier relations, procurement, and finance.
- Proficiency in using various software tools, including MS Office suite and vendor management platforms, with advanced Excel skills and presentation skills.
- 4+ years of demonstrated leadership of people and teams.
- Strong change and transformation capability, sound judgment, and risk mitigation capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with vendors and internal stakeholders effectively.
- Familiarity with advanced reporting tools and strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once and work under strict deadlines, with a strong ability to prioritize and plan work to meet time-based deliverables.
- Master's Degree.
- Lean Six Sigma.
- Knowledge of the retail industry.
- Experience in grocery retail/category management.
- Familiarity with both DA and AUSA existing systems and processes.
- Experience leading system integrations and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
