Exciting Opportunity at Knight Transportation

We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Diesel Mechanic-Technician to join our team in Atlanta. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on heavy trucks and trailers.

About the Role

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $21 to $39 per hour, depending on location, skill level, and experience. You will also enjoy a range of benefits, including overtime pay, quarterly bonus program, paid training, and uniform allowance.

Responsibilities

As a Fleet Diesel Mechanic-Technician, you will be responsible for:
  • Repairing and maintaining heavy trucks and trailers
  • Performing preventative maintenance on equipment, HVAC, and electrical systems
  • Diagnosing and repairing complex issues
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Working collaboratively with the team to achieve maintenance goals

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in diesel mechanics or a related field
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to read and understand repair manuals
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
