Hydraulic Technician Job Description

MAG-TECH INC is seeking a skilled Hydraulic Technician to join our team. As a Hydraulic Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing various hydraulic pumps, motors, and power units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service and repair hydraulic pumps, motors, and power units, including testing, troubleshooting, repair, and assembly.
  • Identify components to be repaired, inspect parts, and determine if they are re-workable.
  • Pull necessary parts, verify their interchangeability, and prepare components for assembly.
  • Assemble units according to manufacturer specifications and test repaired units using manufacturer test specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including sweeping, mopping, and organizing the shop.
  • Participate in continuous improvement through training and associate development.
Requirements:
  • Able to use a variety of hand tools required for repair.
  • Able to tear down open loop and closed loop pumps.
  • Able to understand basic hydraulic diagrams/schematics.
  • Ability to understand the basics of hydraulic systems and their components.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including hoists, forklifts, and Hilo.
