Healthcare Support Specialist

As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential clinical assistance to medical professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate smooth patient flow by preparing individuals for their appointments and delivering specific services and education as directed by healthcare providers, in alignment with relevant licensure and policies.
Perform administrative tasks to maintain up-to-date patient information, including the management of electronic health records.Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is functional and reporting any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
Engage with patients and their families with compassion and respect, fostering a supportive atmosphere.
Collaborate effectively with other healthcare team members to anticipate and meet the needs of patients, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
Collect and monitor patient data, reporting findings and needs as instructed. Document care in accordance with established guidelines and standards for chargeable items and services.Continuously assess processes and services for quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and propose recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and introduce new services within your area of responsibility.
Commit to ongoing professional development by studying best practices and maintaining the necessary knowledge and skills for effective job performance.
Qualifications
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program
Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a physician practice or healthcare environment is required.
Preferred Certifications
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - AAMA
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - NHA
National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) - NCCT
Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - AMT
Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) - NAHP
Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry weights as specified, with frequent standing and walking required.
Work Environment
