The Registered Nurse II is responsible for the comprehensive assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care in an acute care environment. This role emphasizes holistic and personalized care for all patients within the designated area. The nurse will develop, implement, and manage a care plan that takes into account psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors. Effective communication is essential to foster collaborative relationships among patients, their families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to hospital policies, industry standards, and regulations to ensure an optimal patient experience.
- Provide direct patient care, including education for patients and families regarding transitions of care.
- Utilize critical thinking to identify and resolve routine or complex issues.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and protect health information.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
Qualifications:
Education:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Licensure:
Current RN license for the state of practice.
BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
Department Specific Certifications:
ACLS certification required.
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
Skills and Knowledge:
Proficient understanding of nursing theories, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Familiarity with healthcare industry standards, safety protocols, and patient privacy regulations. Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey sensitive information effectively to diverse audiences. Excellent time management and organizational abilities to prioritize patient care and meet deadlines. Basic proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Work Environment:
This position is classified as full-time, with variable days and an 8-hour shift. Weekend requirements are not applicable.
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $68.66 to $89.93 per hour, with additional benefits available.
