Surgical Unit Registered Nurse II Position

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse II to join our Surgical Unit team at Sutter Health. As a Registered Nurse II, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, coordinate, and deliver nursing care to patients in an acute setting.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure timely and effective care.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, industry standards, and applicable laws and regulations to promote a safe and respectful environment.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • RN-Registered Nurse of California licensure.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
  • ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience, preferably as a Charge Nurse.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of nursing theories, concepts, and practices.
  • Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, safety precaution policies, and best practices regarding patient care and privacy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally.
  • Time management and organizational skills to prioritize patient care and assignments.
