Position Summary

This weekend nursing position supports the Radiation Therapeutics Services team at MD Anderson. The successful candidate will work closely with radiation therapists to deliver high-quality care to patients receiving radiation therapy treatments over the weekend.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with experience in radiation therapy or a related field. They will be responsible for collaborating with healthcare teams, managing patient care, and providing necessary clinical interventions.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Collaborate with radiation therapists to provide care to patients undergoing radiation therapy.
  • Ensure patients are prepared for treatment and necessary interventions are conducted as part of the radiation therapy plan.
  • Administer medications and provide nursing care as required during treatment.
  • Assess and monitor patient vital signs, reaction to treatments, and any side effects.
  • Offer supportive care to manage symptoms or complications related to radiation therapy.
