Delivering Precision Radiation Care at Memorial Hermann Health System

The role of a Radiation Therapy Specialist at Memorial Hermann involves administering radiation therapy to patients while ensuring safety and adherence to treatment protocols. This position requires simulating treatment setups, performing dosimetric calculations, and assisting with patient care management in a compassionate and efficient manner.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Simulate treatment set-ups according to physician instruction.
  • Perform dosimetric calculations under the supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist, using either manual or computerized dose calculations.
  • Accurately deliver the prescribed course of radiation therapy.
  • Assist in Brach therapy procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiation Therapy Technology.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Certified Radiation Therapist by the American Registry of Radiation Therapy Technologists (ARRT-T) or temporary certification for recent graduates, up to 60 days post-graduation and licensed by the Texas Department of Health (CMRT).
  • Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others in order to perform job functions.
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this position is $75,000 - $110,000 annually, depending on experience. Memorial Hermann offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
