About the Role

Cordant Health Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Analytical Manager to lead our toxicology laboratory team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing the screening and confirmatory analysis of biological fluids for drugs of abuse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the auto-chemistry, LC/MS/MS, and GC/MS laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts, optimize processes, and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement training programs for new employees, ensuring they meet all lab rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Scientific Director to ensure all methods and validations meet certification and compliance requirements.
  • Allocate work schedules, assignments, and analytical resources to meet production goals and improve quality and productivity.
  • Enforce compliance with regulations, best practices, and guidelines for CLIA, safety, environmental, hazardous materials, equipment, and security.
  • Maintain personal accountability for attendance, productivity, training, and incidents with analytical staff.
  • Participate in employee performance appraisals and ensure all work is complete, accurate, and meets high-quality standards.
  • Act as the IT contact for lab issues, system upgrades, and new machine installation, providing technical support for software testing.
  • Participate in internal inspections and external audits, providing technical resources and expertise.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a hard science field, plus 6 years of lab experience, or Master's Degree in a hard science field, plus 4 years of lab experience, or Doctoral Degree in a hard science field, plus 2 years of lab experience.
  • Previous supervisory or training experience is required.
  • High degree of computer literacy, knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems software, and knowledge of CLIA and CAP are highly desirable.
