Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Lead to join our team at Heartland Dental. As a key member of our Payer Relations Department, you will be responsible for providing advanced business and financial data analytics to support insurance fee negotiation and maximize values for our supported dentists.

About the Role:

You will work closely with our Payor Analytics Specialists, Payor Relationship Managers, and Payor Supporters to analyze and interpret complex data sets, identify trends and patterns, and develop actionable insights to inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain advanced data analytics models to support insurance fee negotiation and revenue growth
  • Conduct benchmarking and competitive analysis of payer fee schedules across different payers
  • Track and analyze external dental price trends at national and state levels
  • Perform overall Payer revenue analysis on volume, price, share, and growth trends
  • Coordinate and conduct financial analysis projects and financial reporting, presenting results and recommendations to management
  • Respond to requests for data analytics to supported offices/operations
  • Translate business data into clear business-focused deliverables for decision makers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Math/Science/Engineering/Business or related field with 5+ years of heavy SQL or Python experience, or master's degree with 3+ years of practical work experience
  • Independent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Highly skilled in written and verbal communication of complex ideas and analytic findings
  • High level of proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools
  • Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
  • Collaboration skills and ability to work with internal and external clients

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Healthcare, dental industry, or insurance experience
  • Familiarity with SAP Hana/SAC
  • Proficiency with R for data manipulation and statistical analysis
  • Expertise in data visualization
  • Master's degree in Math/Statistics/Data Science/Data Engineering/Computer Science/Business
