Fort Worth Country Day is seeking a qualified After School Care Specialist to join our SOAR program team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment for students, facilitating daily activities, and ensuring the overall well-being of our participants.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor students to ensure their health, safety, and physical well-being
  • Collaborate with staff to design and implement activities and assignments
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a positive environment
  • Assist with art projects and oversee students in physical activities
  • Interact with children to build self-esteem and form comfort levels with peers
  • Assist in resolving student disputes and refer serious discipline problems to the SOAR Extended-Care Manager
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
  • Coordinate with enrichment program instructors and act as a liaison between parents, staff, and school personnel
Requirements:
  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience working with youth
  • Must pass a criminal background check and have positive verification of references
Preferred Qualifications:
  • College credit in child development, education, or a related field
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in child development, education, or a related field
