Job Title: Clinical Nurse Supervisor NICU

Children's Hospital Colorado is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Supervisor to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. As a Clinical Nurse Supervisor, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care, leading a team of nurses, and contributing to the overall success of our unit.

Job Summary:

The Clinical Nurse Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of nurses, providing direct patient care, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of nurses, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure excellent patient care.
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and implementing interventions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient care, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree in Nursing or a related field preferred.
  • Three years of clinical experience, with at least two years in a leadership role.
  • Previous experience in a Level IV NICU setting is highly desirable.
  • Current RN licensure and BLS/CPR certification required.
  • ANCC recognized certification in clinical specialty preferred.
