This role is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of plant machinery, managing a team of maintenance mechanics, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and leadership, with experience in managing teams and implementing maintenance strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee maintenance of plant machinery, including compressed air systems, heat reclaimers, boilers, HVAC systems, and electrical systems.
- Manage a team of maintenance mechanics, providing guidance and support to ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Coordinate with production department to resolve equipment breakdowns and optimize production processes.
- Maintain compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations affecting Market Center operations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance work experience.
- 2 years of prior management experience preferred.
- Two-year college degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Current and valid driver's license.
Working Environment:
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with irregular and long hours. The ideal candidate will be able to stand for extended periods, lift and maneuver up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and maneuver 50+ pounds.
