Maintenance Technician II Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at Wexner Heritage Village. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment, as well as performing various maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubricating and cleaning parts, and inspecting equipment for damage or wear.
  • Use precision-measuring and testing instruments to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Install and repair electrical equipment, including circuit fixtures and motors.
  • Read and record thermometer and gauge readings.
  • Plan and execute installation projects, including pipe assemblies and plumbing fixtures.
  • Repair and maintain piping systems and plumbing fixtures, including soldering and caulking leaks.
  • Perform other maintenance tasks as assigned, including repairing partitions, doors, windows, and building framework.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma preferred, with shop courses.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions correctly.
  • Must have a good, positive attitude and be able to interact well with residents, family members, other associates, and vendors.
  • At least one month on-the-job training to learn location of equipment, supplies, and organization layout.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
Working Conditions:

The Maintenance Technician II will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to mechanical equipment and tools. The successful candidate must be able to lift 75lbs on a regular basis and work on-call duties as assigned.
