Maintenance Manager Job Description

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of facilities, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills to manage a team of maintenance personnel and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks and minimize downtime
  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance personnel to ensure effective execution of maintenance tasks and projects
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities with production and operations
  • Develop and manage budgets for maintenance activities and ensure cost-effective solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in maintenance and repair

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., mechanical engineering, facilities management)
  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance and repair, with a focus on leadership and management
  • Strong technical skills in areas such as electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software
