The Landscape Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in the upkeep and enhancement of park landscapes. This includes tasks such as mowing, equipment maintenance, watering, pruning, and the management of plants and trees.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes power tools including blowers, mowers, and trimmers, along with hand tools like pruners and shovels. Reports daily performance, equipment issues, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
  • Conducts routine maintenance on tools and machinery, ensuring they are lubricated and fueled; assists in unloading and organizing supplies.
  • Handles the installation and removal of plants, mulch, and trees; engages in pruning and trimming activities; ensures grass areas are well-maintained.
  • Transplants, irrigates, and fertilizes various flora; manages weeding and flower bed upkeep; provides necessary watering for plant health.
  • Contributes to the development of new landscaping projects; assists with irrigation system maintenance.
  • Delivers exceptional guest service in alignment with company standards, which includes engaging with visitors, addressing inquiries, and providing directions.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and reporting any unsafe conditions to management.
  • Availability for scheduling that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays to fulfill operational needs.
  • Complies with attendance policies as established by the company.
  • Follows the company's conduct guidelines, including specific grooming and attire standards as outlined in employee policies.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening as per company policy, unless restricted by law.
  • Successful completion of a background check for candidates aged 18 and older, covering various aspects such as credit and criminal history, as per company policy.
