About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Duracell. As a key member of our multi-functional team, you will work closely with Research & Development and Manufacturing to develop and implement technical solutions that support our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise: Apply engineering knowledge and technical expertise to develop/design innovative technology alternatives, analyze the options, recommend the best technical solution possible to optimize the value to the business, predict performance, and support the execution of the selected option.
  • Team Collaboration: Effectively operate in a team environment, including the ability to communicate effectively, build collaborative relationships, and contribute to a healthy team culture.
  • Project Direction: Influence project direction based on analysis and understanding of project facts and needs. Gather and analyze data in area of responsibility.
  • Personal Direction: Set personal direction, manage multiple priorities, and grow personal knowledge and capability to deliver expected results and meet the business need.
  • Contract Management: Manage and set directions for contract resources through equipment design, fabrication, and start-up phases.
  • Engineering Tools: Follow and leverage the proper engineering tools and Duracell work processes.
  • Technical Mastery: Develop deep mastery in selected areas of technology and processes.
  • Cost Reduction: Actively seek out cost reduction opportunities.
  • Travel: This position will require domestic and international travel, approximately 5% - 10%.
  • Problem-Solving: Apply math, science, and other engineering knowledge to solve real-world problems and develop robust technical solutions.
  • Knowledge Acquisition: Seek out knowledge and quickly grasp technical concepts and grow personal expertise.
  • Time Management: Manage time effectively by understanding assignment requirements, prioritizing objectives, and scheduling tasks accordingly.

Qualifications
  • Education: Minimum B.S. in Engineering with preference for Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in an Engineering position is desired but not required.
