Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Wargame Specialist to join our team at Noblis. As a key member of our energy and sustainability team, you will play a critical role in addressing the Department of Defense's (DoD) operational energy challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and analyze military service and combatant command wargames to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of operational energy requirements, sustainment capabilities, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in wargames and exercises to ensure energy limitations are accurately represented and addressed.
  • Provide expert assessments of energy constraints in wargames and exercises, and develop strategies to mitigate these constraints.
  • Collaborate with government agencies to ensure consistent data collection and standardization.
  • Support the development of reports to Congress on the results of wargames and exercises.
  • Work closely with military service and combatant command staff to provide accurate summaries and information reports to senior leadership.
  • Travel to wargame and exercise locations as needed to participate in activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, public administration, environmental science, sustainability, energy policy, or a related field.
  • Five years of relevant experience in energy policy, sustainability, or a related field.
  • Secret clearance.
  • Strong knowledge of government energy resilience and sustainability initiatives.
  • Experience with DoD wargames, models, and data collection systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Presentation skills and experience presenting to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with spreadsheets and databases to perform data analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively in a geographically diverse team environment.
  • U.S. citizenship.
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in engineering, public administration, environmental science, sustainability, energy policy, or a related field.
  • Top Secret clearance.
  • Expertise in DoD energy wargame models, such as the Synthetic Theatre Operation Research Model (STORM).
  • Knowledge of Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) and the energy key performance parameter (eKPP).
