Hospitality and Culinary Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front of House Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team at Mount Rushmore National Memorial. As a key member of our Food and Beverage team, you will be responsible for coordinating food service activities, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining high-quality and sanitation standards.

• Inspect food service facilities and equipment to ensure compliance with state and local laws.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and resolving any food quality or service complaints.
• Maintain high-quality and sanitation standards through inspection and tasting prepared food.
• Investigate and resolve any food quality or service complaints.
• Ensure that food outlets meet company standards, such as queue times.
• Help to ensure cost control within the department using information such as daily food sales, patron attendance, and labor costs.
• Responsible for ensuring staff are properly trained for their assigned areas and consistently following the correct processes and procedures.
• Assist with planning and executing banquets.
• Provide input for scheduling.
• During off-season, may assist in Back of House operations as needed.

• 3+ years of previous experience in a Front of House Leadership role.
• Previous experience with banquets, preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Food and Beverage Management or other similar program, preferred.
• Must have ServSafe Manager certification or be able to obtain within 6 months from date of hire.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to listen and effectively communicate.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where project priorities, task deadlines, and assignments can change quickly and with little notice.
• Must be a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision while working within set guidelines.
• Ability to adapt training methods to different skill and ability levels.
