Position Summary
The Food and Beverage (F&B) sector encompasses over 300 unique dining establishments committed to excellence in mountain cuisine. The Food & Beverage Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations and supporting the Food & Beverage General Manager in staff training and supervision. This role thrives in a dynamic environment, requiring outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain composure under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure exceptional service by attending to all guest needs in the restaurant.
- Assist in managing dining operations, including staff training, scheduling, and oversight.
- Evaluate staff performance and provide constructive feedback, including recognition and corrective actions.
- Support administrative tasks such as hiring, cash management, reservations, and inventory control.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in accordance with regulations.
- Engage in leadership discussions to enhance dining operations and training initiatives.
- Complete management reports related to revenue, payroll, inventory, and daily logs.
- Ensure all guests receive friendly and responsive service at all times.
- Achieve company goals in sales, service quality, and facility cleanliness through effective employee training.
- Prepare necessary documentation in an organized and timely manner.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and cleanliness through regular inspections.
- Coordinate front-of-house staff assignments for efficient service delivery.
- Manage inventory of restaurant supplies, including beverages and dining products.
- Conduct self-audits as required.
- Lead ongoing training and development for front-of-house staff.
- Assist in other operational areas as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's or Culinary degree preferred.
- ServSafe certification or equivalent required.
- TIPS certification required.
- 3-5 years of restaurant experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Fluency in English is required; bilingual candidates are preferred.
The expected salary range for this position is $52,000 - $60,000, based on experience and qualifications.
