Job Summary

GE Appliances is seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Service Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our HVAC division, you will be responsible for ensuring the serviceability of our HVAC products. This includes developing and enhancing product training modules, conducting training sessions, and supporting in-field investigations to identify product performance issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance product training modules, including product lineup, application, installation, operation, control, service, troubleshooting, and product selection software.
  • Conduct training sessions for internal and external customers in company training facilities, distributor locations, or via web-based training sessions.
  • Support in-field investigations to identify product performance issues by gathering pertinent data and participating in team-based discussions with product engineering teams.
  • Edit and suggest revisions to applicable product service literature, including wiring diagrams, installation manuals, service manuals, and technical guides.
  • Author and develop service guides, service bulletins, and training bulletins, collaborating with the technical editor for final release to the field.

Requirements
  • Proven problem-solving skills with a passion for training and customer support.
  • Developed computer skills, including Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in a project-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work independently without constant supervision.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and drive for performance excellence.
  • Prior experience developing and/or delivering technical training material.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Language skills in French or Mandarin Chinese.
  • Prefer ductless, unitary, or VRF experience.
  • NATE or other trade certification.

Working Conditions
  • 30-50% travel required for domestic/international travel, with seasonal variations.
  • Primarily in an office or training-lab environment.
  • Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. in training center environment.
