The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Ambulatory Resource Team as a Float Pool Specialist. This role will require the individual to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to acutely ill children in pediatric after-hours clinics
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve desired patient outcomes
- Float to various clinics within the Charleston division, requiring adaptability and flexibility
- Deliver high-quality care, including rooming patients, point-of-care testing, and medication administration
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Completion of a recognized Licensed Practical Nursing program
- Minimum of six months experience as an LPN
- Licensed as an LPN within the state of South Carolina or a compact state
- A current CPR card, either American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers or American Red Cross Professional Rescuer
- Ability to demonstrate commitment to patient-centered care philosophy
- Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, and walking
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required
