As a key member of our analytics team, you will assume a leadership role in executing both theoretical and empirical investigations utilizing a mix of public and proprietary datasets across various aspects of the mortgage finance sector.
This role encompasses a range of topics including mortgage products and securities, borrower behavior analysis, investment strategies, residential property valuation, macroeconomic modeling (covering housing prices and interest rates), financial asset valuation, economic capital assessments, and stress testing methodologies.
Your Contributions
The Senior Quantitative Analyst - Enterprise Modeling position will provide you with the autonomy to shape your daily responsibilities while collaborating with dedicated professionals. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading teams and projects to deliver innovative, comprehensive, and actionable solutions that align with business strategies and initiatives.
- Conducting or evaluating ad hoc quantitative analyses, modeling, or programming utilizing tools such as Stata, SAS, R, and Python.
- Employing advanced data mining and statistical techniques to derive analytical insights, formulate sound hypotheses, and provide informed recommendations.
- Applying your expertise to guide teams in executing modeling projects that adhere to established company policies and industry standards.
- Contributing to the development of validation or testing strategies while assessing the quality and risk associated with model methodologies, outputs, and processes.
- Utilizing your understanding of the relevant business context to interpret model results, monitor performance, and evaluate risks.
- Identifying opportunities to leverage quantitative methods to enhance business performance.
- Effectively communicating complex technical concepts to department leadership and team members.
- Coaching and mentoring junior team members to foster their professional growth.
This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for a blend of in-office and remote work.
Qualifications
Required:
PhD in Economics or Statistics.
Experience with coursework, research, or practical applications of modeling using Stata and R, alongside advanced economic and econometric/statistical analysis, including regression, time series, panel data, discrete event modeling, economic optimization, and stochastic and dynamic general equilibrium models.
