Your Role:
As a vital member of our team, you will oversee the strategic direction and operational management of the Human Resources division. Key Responsibilities:
- Regularly meet with department managers to assess their needs and challenges.
- Formulate and implement the organization's strategic goals related to human resources.
- Oversee the HR department's budget and assist in its development.
- Create, maintain, and revise standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the HR department and organizational HR policies.
- Conduct thorough investigations of employee grievances and concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state labor regulations and adherence to the guidelines set forth by relevant authorities.
- Act as the subject matter expert on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to guide the Benefits Manager in achieving compliance.
- Lead the benchmarking of benefits data and collaborate with the Benefits Manager to devise a strategic benefits plan, subject to the approval of the VP of HR.
- Ensure compliance with the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and provide guidance to the Benefits Manager for technical adherence.
- Manage the compensation framework to guarantee competitive pay scales and conduct a comprehensive review of the compensation system biennially.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources is required; a master's degree is preferred, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience at the HR Director level and at least 10 years of overall HR experience. National certification (PHR, SPHR, GPHR, or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Experience working with federal contractors and in health and human services is preferred.
- Strong understanding of employment laws.
- Extensive experience in employee benefits administration.
- Proficient computer skills and adaptability to new technologies as required.
