Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at ITW. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the conceptualization and development of new products using both AC and DC power processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new products that meet the changing needs of our internal and external customers.
- Develop risk assessments and assist in developing solutions to mitigate risk.
- Create test procedures, oversee testing, and analyze results.
- Collaborate with purchasing, sourcing, and quality teams to design and qualify solutions for obsolete components.
- Work with teams to release products to production involving design for manufacturing, documentation for PCBA, and documentation to release and deviations.
- Update and revise documentation and engineering drawings. Prepare and submit engineering change notices.
- Collaborate with software, Mechanical, and Manufacturing Engineering to support our existing product lines to ensure they can be consistently, and cost-effectively produced as well as ensure they continue to meet the needs and expectations of our customers.
- Support the development of quality, manufacturing, and supplier inspection procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in designing circuit boards (layout + schematics).
- Comprehensive understanding of designing and testing in compliance with regulatory and safety standards such as CE, UL, and IEEE.
- Experience in analog + digital signal designs; experience in the use of microcontrollers is a plus.
- Knowledgeable in power circuitries, motor controls, and sensors.
- Experience creating schematics with OrCAD or Altium.
- Experience working with Microsoft Navision and Microsoft SharePoint is a plus.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within project teams, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Creative problem-solving mindset with the curiosity to understand design and process failures with the help of the team.
- Ability to combine an analytical approach with a hands-on mentality.
- Ability to work on-site with occasional flexibility to work from home.
