Claims Resolution Specialist

At IMA Financial Group, we are seeking a skilled Claims Resolution Specialist to join our team. As a Claims Resolution Specialist, you will be responsible for interacting professionally and timely with clients via email, phone, and in-person. You will perform functions of the role within an IMA office 60% of the time and maintain a proactive approach, focusing on claim resolutions and strategies. You will also communicate pertinent claim information on a timely basis to internal and external clients and develop strong working knowledge of Applied Epic and Carrier Interface Systems. Additionally, you will develop external relationships with internal and external clients and assist on Claims Projects, coordinate claim reviews, reports, loss runs, or other tasks as assigned. You will demonstrate technical insurance knowledge and support and demonstrate IMAs core values. Value and understand the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates.

Requirements

1 to 3 years of similar or related experience
Experience with EPIC preferred
Experience with MS Office products preferred/required (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel)
(1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business/trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program
Prior claim experience preferred or coordination of claim and general insurance experience
Strong communication skills and basic mathematical skills required
Ability to discuss and solve claim problems and communicate same with clients and carriers
