Key Responsibilities- Assess and diagnose cardiopulmonary conditions in patients of all ages
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans to address respiratory and cardiac needs
- Administer oxygen therapy, ventilator support, and other interventions as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices in respiratory care
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
- 1 year of experience in respiratory care, preferably in a pediatric setting
- BLS for Health Providers (AHA) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider (AHA) certification
- Respiratory Care Practitioner certification
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or CRT certification (for employees hired prior to 10/1/2013)
- NRP Advanced Provider (AAP) certification (with exception for employees in the Pulmonary Function Lab)
- Pulmonary Function Lab Only: Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) certification required within 6 months of hire for new hires post 7/1/2021
- RT II new to Peds must obtain PALS (AHA) and NRP Advanced Provider (AAP) within 3 months of hire
- ACLS (AHA) certification for those in the RT Charge Role
- Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
- 3 years of experience in respiratory care, preferably in a pediatric setting
- Pulmonary Function Lab Specialist: 1+ year Pulmonary Lab experience
- Bilingual
- Advanced Credential
The current salary range for this position is $42.00 to $62.36. A candidate's placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
