Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose cardiopulmonary conditions in patients of all ages
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans to address respiratory and cardiac needs
  • Administer oxygen therapy, ventilator support, and other interventions as needed
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices in respiratory care
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
  • 1 year of experience in respiratory care, preferably in a pediatric setting
  • BLS for Health Providers (AHA) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider (AHA) certification
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner certification
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or CRT certification (for employees hired prior to 10/1/2013)
  • NRP Advanced Provider (AAP) certification (with exception for employees in the Pulmonary Function Lab)
  • Pulmonary Function Lab Only: Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) certification required within 6 months of hire for new hires post 7/1/2021
  • RT II new to Peds must obtain PALS (AHA) and NRP Advanced Provider (AAP) within 3 months of hire
  • ACLS (AHA) certification for those in the RT Charge Role
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
  • 3 years of experience in respiratory care, preferably in a pediatric setting
  • Pulmonary Function Lab Specialist: 1+ year Pulmonary Lab experience
  • Bilingual
  • Advanced Credential
Salary Range

The current salary range for this position is $42.00 to $62.36. A candidate's placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
